The gist, the tea, the 411 you'll always find here, are that of experiences which God has demonstrated His goodness. I believe that God uses life experiences to teach us more about Him and more about His love. Out of His generous love and because of our closeness with Him, our actions and our words subsequently change for the better - we experience real life with Him at the centre. When you read a REAL LIFE post, imagine that we've met up at our favourite coffee shop with nothing spectacular planned, except to laugh [and maybe cry] at all of life's lessons, and we both leave feeling refreshed. Life is a Movie 🍿
Stories, real or fiction, serve as some form of escapism, there's no better place to escape to than the place where God can speak, inspire, correct and love on you (the real place to be). You'll grow to love some of the characters, while strongly disliking others and maybe, just maybe you'll get to see yourself in the stories too.
Jesus told a lot of STORIES called parables, to simply explain the mysteries of God’s Kingdom to those who were around Him. My storytelling journey didn't start quite like that, but since my first story (Peckham Rye, Platform 3) in 2016, it has evolved to do just the same thing - to show you God.
I smile thinking that a guy in a tight tweed coat at Peckham Rye train station [if you know, you know], served as inspiration for my first story. And to think that I had never thought of writing fiction till that day?! That in itself is a testimony of how God works in the stories of our lives - He really knows what He is doing, eh? 😎
When it comes down to it, at the core of The Word of Mouth Co. are the words that express this truth: GOD IS GOOD! ALWAYS!
